Water Spotting

Cause

• Allowing water to come into contact with a finish that is not thoroughly dried/cured.

• Washing finish in direct sunlight.

Repair

•   Wipe with a damp cloth, then polish.

•   Or, compound and polish.

•   Or, sand smooth with 1500-2000 grit sandpaper, compound and polish to restore gloss.

•   Or, sand and refinish.

Prevention

•   Do not allow water to come into contact with newly painted finish

•   If a new finish does get wet, dry immediately with a soft cloth.

•   Wash new finishes in the shade and wipe dry.
